The regular IP you usually play from shouldn't trigger the SMS authenticator. It's only if you're trying to access the game from an unknown IP that you'll face problems. Log in using your normal IP, change the settings in your account and you'll be good to go. CreepingDeath0 • 7 yr. ago.
Couldn't log into game. So I tried Support. It says the email and password doesn't match. So I used the "forgot password" option which says it sent the email to the correct address by name, but have not actually arrived there.
Dev post from a few hours ago mentioned login server issues for f2p accounts. Seems to be more than just that now as none of my accounts are able to login. Additionally, server seemed to have crashed during gameplay as I was locked in a loading screen in Server_State_Waiting for over a minute after taking a waypoint in world vs world and forced

Raid night in my guild was a disaster. There have been some instances in wvw too. I'm sure it's driven very few people off the game, but it worries me that it's still ongoing. This is off the GW2 support website. "If disabling your firewall doesn’t work and you are able to access the internet through other games or in a web browser, you may need to re-download the client. To do this, rename your current Gw2.dat to Gw2.old and run the launcher again. This will “backup” your file and allow you to download a new
