CtCarl. If your ECU is bad, just send it out and have it repaired. Last week I noticed a listing for an ECU repair service on that big auction website for $50. Much less hassle and expense than trying to find a new ECU and flash it to your VIN. This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread.

If you get the problem again you could:-. 1) Leave the ignition switch off so the engine does not start. 2) Unplug the starter relay in the front fuse box. 3) Short out pins 30 and 87 on the relay base and this will put a 12V supply direct to the starter solenoid.
