When I try to open the game, the Ubisoft Connect things opens up, says that it is sync-ing achievements and stuff and then inexplicably closes by itself. It just won't let the game run, even opening it via the Library section on Steam won't work.
Right click it and hit properties. Under he General tab, hit "Set launch options" and type in "-fullscreen". Once you've done that, open it normally and go to the video settings again.
