The PCM was already using the latest firmware available. So the take away from my experience is that if your car is constantly trying to regen, and you have the P246B code in the PCM, and a high pressure reading in the DPF with the engine off, then it's most likely the Pressure Differential sensor.
There's a few codes in there more noticeable is the code for a fuel vaporiser fault as well as blocked DPF codes and soot accumulation codes. This vapourisor is known as the 5th injector and injects fuel into the DPF to aid the regeneration process. The fuse should be inspected first as it's most likely blown.
